Decided I couldn’t leave the apartment without making an effort to assemble an outfit. I’ve put off wearing this skirt because how body hugging it is. Haven’t been overly confident with how I’ve looked lately. Trying to come to terms with my new “shape”. Outfit details: skirt - Forever 21+, shirt - H&M, bangles - courtesy of my lovely grandparents

Anonymous said: Hey! I wanted to know your opinion on big girls wearing corsets/shape wear under their clothes to appear thinner or, rather, more uniform and less lumpy. Do men think this is cheating (or pretending to be thinner)? And would it be a turn off to undress a woman and find that she's wearing, say, high waisted shape wear underwear meant to smooth her belly better? I've been very curious since I usually wear this when I go out!

I think it’s totally up to you if you want to wear shapewear. I suppose it should be because it makes you feel more comfortable, better about yourself, etc, rather than because there’s something you feel like you need to hide… Because at that point it’s about a negative body feeling, rather than a self-boosting one.

As far as what men think of seeing shapewear, I don’t think anyone would have gone enough with you to see your underthings and still turn away for something like those underthings not looking like they expected. You know?
